Boost-(Ed) Speech and Language Program
Having a Speech Pathologist visit within the service gives our educators access to specialist knowledge and another perspective on supporting children’s speech, language and communication development within their everyday learning environment.
Importantly, these initial visits do not mean your child will automatically receive individual assessment or therapy. Individual speech pathology screening, assessment or intervention requires written parent/caregiver consent.
For families who choose to provide consent, the Boost-(Ed) program can provide speech pathology screening, assessment and/or therapy intervention at no cost to the family during 2026. Families will receive reports by email, with a copy also provided to Spirals to support continuity between the Speech Pathologist, educators and family.
The consent and case-history form also allows families to provide important information about their child’s speech and language development, including areas such as following instructions, using words and sentences, retelling experiences, speech clarity, expressing needs and previous speech pathology involvement.
We are incredibly excited to continue building partnerships that bring additional expertise and support directly into Spirals and strengthen the way we support each child’s individual development.
If you have any questions, queries or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to Hannah Kelly, Lead Speech Pathologist - Early Years Project via call on +61 08 9217 2500 or email at boosted@dsf.net.au
Nutritious Meals to Fuel Growing Bodies
At Spirals Early Learning, we know that good nutrition plays an important role in children’s growth, development, energy and wellbeing.
With the support of Nourished Beginnings, our menus are thoughtfully developed to provide children with a variety of nutritious, balanced and child-friendly meals throughout their day.
Our menu operates on a four-week rotation and changes bi-seasonally, allowing us to introduce variety and make the most of seasonal foods while giving children opportunities to experience different flavours, textures and meals.
From nourishing breakfasts and morning teas to wholesome lunches and afternoon snacks, mealtimes at Spirals are about more than just food – they’re also opportunities to build healthy relationships with food, independence and positive social connections.

Purple Book Child Health Checks In Centre
At Spirals Early Learning, supporting children means caring for the whole child — their learning, development, health, wellbeing and growing confidence.
We are excited to be participating in an opportunity that brings free one- and two-year-old child health and developmental checks directly into our Early Learning Centre, delivered by a local Child Health Nurse.
These appointments are the same developmental health checks families may know as Purple Book checks, with the added convenience of being available within the familiar environment of Spirals.
Bringing health support closer to our families
During a child health check, a trained Child Health Nurse can assess a child's health, growth and development while giving families an opportunity to discuss questions or concerns about their child's development and wellbeing.
Where additional support may be beneficial, the Child Health Nurse can also help families understand the next steps and provide referrals to appropriate specialist services, which may include speech pathology, occupational therapy or paediatric services.
For us, this initiative is about making early identification, early intervention and family support easier to access. By connecting early childhood education and community health services, we can work together to give children the strongest possible start.
A familiar place. Trusted support. One connected community.
Young children spend a significant part of their early years within their early learning community. Bringing services like Child Health Checks into Spirals helps reduce barriers for families while strengthening the partnership between families, educators and health professionals.
Participation is completely optional and requires parent/guardian consent before a child can take part.
We are incredibly proud to continue building Spirals as more than a place children come for care — a community where children and families can access meaningful opportunities, connections and support throughout the early years.
The People Behind The Play
Beautiful environments matter, but it's the people within them who make a child's experience extraordinary.
Our educators bring their own personalities, strengths, experience and passions to Spirals while sharing one common goal: creating a place where children feel safe enough to be themselves and confident enough to explore.
They're the familiar faces at morning drop-off, the comforting arms on difficult days, the enthusiastic audience for children's discoveries and the people celebrating those little milestones alongside families.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Spirals Early Learning Centre already. My daughter has only been attending for her first week and she has settled in so well that we’ve already added some extra casual days per her request! She gets excited to go and has even already found her favourite educator, which as a parent is so reassuring to see.
She also absolutely loves the food and is always happy to tell me about what she’s eaten during the day.-Telia McBeath

I am so glad I choose Spirals Early Learning for my daughter, she absolutely loves waking up in the mornings and the first thing she asks is if she’s going to daycare today! She settled in on her first day, the educators are so kind, caring and nurturing. The centre is also set out so beautifully, you can definitely tell a lot of thought and love has been put into everything!🩷🩷🩷

As a first time mum I was hesitant picking a daycare.. It's safe to say that I made the right choice choosing Spirals. My son settled right in from day 1. The rooms are beautiful and cozy, and I feel confident that I'm leaving my baby in safe hands with educators that are so warm and welcoming at every drop off/pick up. My baby always comes home happy after a long stimulating day.
